Learning Management

In 2003, we created a custom LMS for the Society of Actuaries. The early system focused on the core delivery and management features for a course. In 2006, assessment creation, management and grading was added to the core system. In 2007, multiple course features were added, as well as detailed reporting capabilities.

In the summer of 2008, day-to-day management of the LMS was brought in-house at the Society of Actuaries. The LMS for the Education System at the Society of Actuaries serves almost 15,000 users today. We continue to advise the SOA on innovative learning management features such as mobile course delivery, academic honesty and integrity and social media.
